Many times, new and old clients often wonder what is this Onion thingy all about, so here's a little FAQ that hopefully answers your doubt. :)

Who are you guys? I've never heard of you...
Pixel Onion is newly formed in 2011, but the guys behind the team aren't. We have been designing & building medium to large-scale enterprise websites with open source content management systems (CMS), especially Drupal, since 2004. Counting back, our combined experience in delivering your website is almost 20 years!

How big is your team?
We have a habit of keeping our team lean and mean, because we don't believe you need 10-15 employees to build a great website. Currently, our team is made by 4 key person, with each specializing in a specific skillset like User Interface Design, Drupal Web Development, Project Management etc.

Oh my, are you able to handle my HUGEeeee project?
Human resources are practiced like Cloud computing over here, when the need arise, we will scale to fit your requirements with the necessary resources in place. That's also due to our geographical advantage in working at a SmartSpace.

Do we do Wordpress, Joomla and others?
We've dabbled with Wordpress a little some time ago building the Substation website and a few other personal blogs, but that's almost it. We're not exactly experts at developing custom stuffs for Wordpress but we can design a good looking theme and integrate it for you. Else, theres always plenty of experts around us whom we can refer you to :)

Are you hiring?
Currently, we are open for individuals with specific skillsets to join us, eg. front-end development, search engine optimization, content producer etc. Feel free to say hello@pixelonion.com and we love to get connected.

Ok finally, how do you charge?
We charge by the required man-hours to deliver your project. Prior to the start, we will work out the necessary hours in a spreadsheet and share that with you. Once you're happy, we can proceed.

We do have maintenance, retainers, technical support packages available for purchase at blocks of 20, 50 and 100 hours as well, prices are discounted when packages are purchase.
